Firebase (Google)
Used for user authentication and secure data storage. Your data is stored in Firebase servers and is subject to Google's privacy practices.
Google Gemini AI
Book information (title, author, genres) is sent to Google's AI service to generate summaries and recommendations. No personally identifiable information about you or your children is sent to this service.
Google Books API & Open Library
Used to retrieve book metadata and cover images. Only book titles and ISBNs are shared with these services.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored securely in Firebase with encryption
- We use HTTPS for all data transmission
- Authentication is handled by Apple and Google's secure sign-in services
- We do not store your sign-in passwords
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems, including:
- Your account information
- All child profiles
- All book and reading data
- All achievements and progress
- All uploaded images
